Terms of use
Terms and Conditions
This site exists to help people request paid local digital support in Ayrshire, while still allowing free help to be considered for people in genuine hardship.
Straightforward terms
Plain-English expectations for site use, support requests and the legal position in Scotland.
Service scope
The service is intended for practical help with computers, laptops, Wi-Fi, routers, printers, phones, tablets, email, accounts and everyday digital problems.
If a device needs specialist repair, replacement parts or work outside the scope of the service, that should be explained clearly.
Availability and capacity
Most support is paid, but availability may still depend on current capacity, travel practicalities and the nature of the request.
Free help remains discretionary and is reserved for people in genuine hardship where cost is the main barrier.
Submitting a contact form does not guarantee immediate support, but every request should be treated with care and honesty.
Information on the site
The content on this site is intended as general guidance about the service and common digital problems. It is not legal advice, financial advice, regulated cybersecurity advice or a guarantee that a particular issue can be resolved.
Reasonable care is taken with the content, but the site may occasionally contain errors, omissions or material that needs updating.
Your responsibilities
Please only request help where you own the device, have authority to act for the owner, or are arranging support properly on somebody else's behalf.
Where possible, important files and data should be backed up before repair, remote access or configuration work begins. Full banking details, payment card details and full passwords should never be sent through the contact form.
Liability and reasonable limits
Support is offered in good faith and with reasonable care, but not every fault can be diagnosed or fixed, and some issues will require specialist repair, manufacturer support or replacement equipment.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful. Subject to that, responsibility is limited to loss or damage that is reasonably foreseeable from use of the site or the support arranged through it.
Respectful use
The service is built on mutual respect. Clear, kind communication makes it easier to help people well.
The site should not be used for spam, abusive messages or requests unrelated to the stated purpose of the service.
Scots law and jurisdiction
These terms of use, and any non-contractual disputes connected with them, are governed by Scots law.
The Scottish courts will have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising from use of this site or these terms, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
