Remote Computer Support Ayrshire

Remote support for quick software, email, account and setup problems where a home visit is not needed.

Quoted first, every time

Every job is quoted up front, priced on skill and complexity — never hourly. Remote work starts from £45. If I cannot fix it, you do not pay.

Some problems do not need a visit. If the computer can get online and the fault is software, email, accounts, settings or suspicious pop-ups, remote support can be the fastest and cheapest way to fix it.

You stay in control and see everything I do. I send a link, connect while we are speaking, fix the issue where possible and explain what changed before the session ends.

Ready to get it fixed?

Send the problem in plain English. I will reply with the sensible next step and a clear quote before anything is booked.

What to know first

Why this happens, and what I check first

Plain-English notes to help you decide whether to try one quick check, book help, or stop spending money on the wrong fix.

01

Remote support is ideal for account setup, email problems, software errors, browser trouble, scam checks and simple cleanup work. It is not suitable for dead computers, broken Wi-Fi, printer discovery problems or anything that needs the router seen in person.

02

Security matters. You should never allow a random caller to connect to your machine. With me, the session is arranged through the contact form, you know who you are dealing with, and you can end the connection at any point.

03

Remote support also works well as aftercare. If I have already been out and a small setting needs changed later, remote access can save everyone another visit.

Why book me for this?

You deal with the person who quotes the work and does the job.

  • You deal with the same local person, not anonymous remote support
  • I only use remote access where it genuinely fits the problem
  • You see everything that happens on screen
  • Remote work starts from a clear quoted price

Pricing for this service

A clear starting point before you decide. Every job is quoted individually before any work starts.

Remote support usually starts from £45. If the problem turns out to need a visit, I will stop and quote that before continuing.

Pricing is based on the job, never a ticking clock. You know the price before I start.

Straight answers

Questions people actually ask about this

No jargon and no vague promises. If something is not here, ask and I will give you a straight answer.

Is remote computer support safe?

Yes, when it is arranged with someone you trust. You can see everything I do and end the session at any time.

What cannot be fixed remotely?

Dead machines, broken broadband, router placement, many printer discovery faults and hardware repairs usually need a visit or collection.

Do I need to install anything?

I send simple instructions if remote support is suitable. If installing the remote tool becomes part of the problem, I will not force it.

What if I genuinely cannot afford this?

The main service is paid now, but a small number of free jobs are still kept aside each month for people who genuinely cannot afford repair.

Free help is by prior agreement only, never retrospectively. If cost is the real barrier, say that clearly in your first message before any work is quoted, booked or started.

It is reserved for pensioners on fixed incomes, disabled people, unemployed people, carers and low-income households. It is not a way of asking for a discount after the fact.
