Computer Services Across Ayrshire

Computer repairs, Wi-Fi fixes, printer problems, email headaches, phones, tablets and small-business IT — handled personally by Graeme. Tell me what is going wrong and I will point you to the right fix before you spend money.

I come to you first

Most jobs are sorted at your home or office. If a computer needs longer bench work, I collect and return it anywhere in Ayrshire at no extra charge. Remote help starts from £45.

What I fix

The jobs I handle every week

Most jobs start with a simple sentence: the laptop is slow, the Wi-Fi keeps dropping, the printer will not connect, or a relative is stuck and needs patient help.

Laptop and computer repair

Slow machines, refusals to start, crashes, strange behaviour, virus removal, cleanups, upgrades and new-device setup — handled properly at your home or on my bench.

  • Laptop taking 10 minutes to start and running painfully slowly
  • Computer stuck on a blue screen, update loop or repair screen
  • Transferring everything across to a new or second-hand machine

Wi-Fi, broadband and routers

Weak signal, dead spots, dropouts, router replacement, mesh setup, hardwiring and broadband troubleshooting — diagnosed in person where the problem actually is.

  • Wi-Fi that drops out upstairs, in the kitchen or in the garden room
  • Brand-new router from your provider that will not get set up properly
  • Broadband working on one device but refusing on another

Router and network setup

New router configuration, Wi-Fi extenders, mesh systems, powerline adaptors, hardwiring and splitting a network between home and office use.

  • Setting up a mesh system so the whole property is covered
  • Diagnosing cabling, sockets and master-socket faults safely
  • Getting a network printer, smart TV and games console all talking

Printer setup and fixes

Printers that refuse to connect, vanish from the laptop, go offline after an update or get stuck in an error loop after an ink change.

  • Installing a new wireless printer and connecting every device to it
  • Reviving a printer showing offline or out of paper when it is not
  • Walking you through ink, paper and driver errors in plain English

Email, accounts and passwords

Locked-out inboxes, password recovery, sign-in loops, two-factor confusion, Microsoft and Google account fixes, and email on new phones or laptops.

  • Cannot sign in to email after a password reset or new phone
  • Two-factor or authenticator app showing the wrong account
  • Setting up email properly on a new laptop, phone or tablet

Phones and tablets

iPhone, Android, iPad and tablet setup, data transfers between old and new devices, backups, restores and fixing apps that no longer behave.

  • Switching from an old phone to a new one without losing photos or contacts
  • Apps that stopped working after an update and will not open
  • Setting up a new tablet from scratch with email, Wi-Fi and essentials

Small business and home-office IT

Ad-hoc IT support for sole traders and small teams: networks, shared folders, backups, Microsoft 365, printers, new-starter setups and day-to-day troubleshooting.

  • Setting up a new starter's laptop, email and access on day one
  • Sorting shared folders, backups and permissions on a small server
  • Providing on-call support without locking you into a monthly contract

Scam protection and online safety

Checking suspicious emails, texts and pop-ups, undoing damage after a scam call, tightening security and explaining online safety without scaremongering.

  • Working out whether an email or text is a real message or a scam
  • Undoing remote-access damage after a fake 'Microsoft' or 'bank' call
  • Locking down accounts, passwords and two-factor after something felt off

General home tech support

Smart TVs, streaming sticks, smart speakers, home CCTV, doorbells and the small jobs that pile up over time until nothing feels right.

  • New smart TV refusing to sign in or connect to Wi-Fi
  • Getting the phone, tablet, printer and TV all talking to each other again
  • Sorting a backlog of small tech issues in one visit, room by room

Not sure what is wrong?

Common situations I help with

The laptop is running far too slowly. The router lights are flashing oddly. The Wi-Fi is fine in one room and hopeless in another. The printer only works when it feels like it. An email account is locked. A phone has changed after an update and nothing looks familiar any more.

Some of these get sorted there and then. If a device needs longer, I collect and return it anywhere in Ayrshire at no extra charge. Jobs outwith Ayrshire can still be quoted, with any extra travel made explicit up front before anything is agreed.

Booking help for someone else

You do not need to understand every technical detail before getting in touch. If a parent, grandparent, neighbour or client is stuck, describe the situation in everyday terms — that is usually all it takes for me to work out the real problem and come back with a quote.

A simple route from problem to fix

You do not need to pick the perfect service first. Tell me what is happening and I will suggest the right route before any work is agreed.

  1. 01

    Tell me what is wrong

Use the form, WhatsApp or text. A rough description is enough; you do not need the technical wording.

  2. 02

    I suggest the safest route

That might be a home visit, free Ayrshire collection, remote help, or quick advice if it sounds simple.

  3. 03

You get a clear quote first

The likely cost and approach are agreed before any work starts, so there is no hourly meter pressure.

  4. 04

No fix, no fee still applies

If the agreed problem cannot be fixed, you do not pay for that fix.
